The Pioneer Natural Gas Pipeline Project will consist of the installation of roughly 119km of NPS 20, ANSI 600 natural gas pipeline through the Yellowhead and Brazeau counties in Western Alberta.

The pipeline will be owned and operated by Tidewater Midstream Infrastructure Ltd. (Tidewater) and will connect their Brazeau River Complex (BRC; 04-31-048-12 W5M) to the TransAlta Keephills Power Generating Facility (08-36-051-04 W5M), with an additional lateral extension running to the TransAlta Sundance Power Generating Facility (14-20-052-04 W5M).

The line will be constructed in three segments over the Winter 2019 construction season.

The scopes of work described in this document pertain to the Spread ‘A’ installation, which corresponds to approximately 55km of NPS 20 pipeline from pipeline kickoff at the BRC to the east side of the Pembina River crossing.
